Finding the therapist who’s right for you!

Today, I wanted to talk about how daunting and often difficult it can be to find a therapist that feels right for you.

It’s hard enough just getting to that point where you admit to needing help, but now that you have, where to begin? Maybe you’ve been going through profiles on Psychology Today, or sifting through therapy blogs on the Internet, but how do you know which one is the right fit?

First off, I want to congratulate you for getting this far—It’s not easy for us to admit we need help, and doing so is a HUGE first step!

Second, just as dating isn’t always a piece of cake, finding that therapist who’s right for you isn’t necessarily going to be either. Opening up to someone with your deepest, darkest secrets isn’t easy; but it can transform your life for the better.
