Most people feel comfortable going to the office to see a therapist. The office is conveniently located in a heart of Virginia Beach and is very private.
Some people also choose hybrid, and combine online and in person therapy.
Walk and talk therapy
Some clients find it more relaxing when therapy is done while walking in the nature. Walk and talk therapy is very similar to traditional therapy. Bringing a little bit of movement can benefit the counseling session. It works well for the clients that are naturally drawn to being outside. There are many different benefits in combining therapy and exercise.
The sessions can be done anywhere where there is internet access. Using a HIPAA compliant platform, most clients report that it saves them time and they do not need to travel. Clients said they had some reservations with online counseling at first, but then they felt more comfortable with it.
Ask about video sessions, ask about insurance. Ask about appointment times.
